The Love Potatoes site was formerly operated by the Agricultural and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) and operated by a membership levy. Potato Farmers recently decided to vote against this so projects like this incredible recipe resource were to be scrapped.  Potato House agreed to take it on to complement our existing website.

Potato House supplies eating potatoes to shops, box schemes and restaurants as well as to the general public.

The Love Potatoes website is dedicated to chefs and passionate home cooks looking for fantastic potato recipes using high-quality potatoes.  Whether the potatoes are the family favourite white potato, or whether the chef would like to experiment with unusual heritage and coloured varieties of potatoes with unique taste and specific characteristics, we’re sure to have a recipe – and a potato just to your liking.

We also have a a range of white potatoes suitable for boiling, baking, making chips and all recipes on this site. 

We have fast free delivery across the UK. Your potatoes will arrive washed.

Potatoes to Eat will be available in the autumn. 

Our main business is growing and marketing seed potatoes mostly from Angus and Perthshire. We are best known for our Skea Organics range of organically grown seed potatoes and also for our supply of seed potatoes to gardeners from our website.  Our main charity focus is the Grow Your Own Potatoes programme which supplies potato growing kits to schools across the UK. The Grow Your Own programme is funded by fellow potato-loving businesses in the UK. 

Perhaps you would also like to grow some potatoes?  The Potato House site has a wealth of information for beginners through to experienced gardeners.

We are a real fork-to-fork business.

The fabulous picture is of (Great) Grandad Skea harvesting seed potatoes in Glenisla in Perthshire in the 1960s. Most of Glenisla is in Angus, but this farm where the Skea family lived was just inside Perthshire. 60 years later, the location is 20 miles away but the love of potatoes remains.   I wonder what old Grandad Skea would think about tweets and Facebook.

I’m sure he would be proud of the fact we send out Quality Potatoes to Eat direct from our family farm.
